Our Programs

Transportation Ecology

Our specialty is transportation ecology. Dr. Patricia Cramer, our founder, is a national leader in researching wildlife use of wildlife crossing structures and other culverts and bridges, escape ramps, deterrents, and other aspects of wildlife mitigation. She also helps agencies incorporate wildlife into transportation planning.

Wildlife Connectivity

Wildlife connectivity is a broad area that the Wildlife Connectivity Institute concentrates its efforts. The institute members continue to research wildlife movements, identify important lands and waterways to those movements, and how to better plan for helping wildlife continue their daily movements, migrations, and overall lives in the face of human development and climate change.

Education

Making a difference means helping to win the hearts and minds of people who will take action for wildlife. Our approach is to take the science to the agencies and public to show them what wildlife need, then to help create actions to protect and restore wildlife connectivity.
